King Mohammed VI, along with Princes Moulay El Hassan and Moulay Rachid, received, on Tuesday at the Rabat royal palace, the members of the national football team after their outstanding performance at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The Moroccan squad is the first Arab and African football team to reach the semifinals of the World Cup ever since its inception.
The monarch awarded the royal wissam of commander rank to both the head of the Moroccan Football Federation Faouzi Lakjaa and Coach Walid Regragui.
The King granted the royal wissam of officer rank to all players of the team, many of them are graduates of the Mohammed VI Football Academy.
The sovereign gave his instructions to hand royal wissams to the medical and technical staff in recognition of their efforts.
