The Moroccan football team lost the semifinals to France and will be playing Croatia Saturday for the 2022 World Cup third place playoffs.
By a twist of fate, even though the Moroccan squad dominated possession of the ball in the second halftime, France scored 2 goals and won the tournament.
This is Morocco’s first loss in its World Cup journey.
Morocco moved to the knockout stage of the World Cup 2022 after a back-to-back win over Belgium, Spain, Canada, and Portugal to be the first Arab and African country to reach this stage of the competition.
The Croatian team lost the 2022 semis to Argentina (3-0).
