Police services arrested, on Thursday in Laayoune, three individuals and dismantled a workshop for manufacturing inflatable boats, allegedly used in illegal migration and human trafficking.
According to the national police (DGSN), the operation was a success thanks to intelligence by the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST).
The mastermind, who was wanted nationally, was caught over suspicion of implication in illegal migration organization and drug trafficking. Those who aided and abetted him were nabbed later.
The suspects were held on remand under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office.
