King Mohammed VI chose to celebrate the Moroccan football squad’s win against Spain by driving his car and waving the Moroccan flag in the streets that were overflowing with the crowds.
The symbiotic view is very unique as it mirrors the spontaneity of the King and the people who came together and became one on a historic day in the country’s football annals.
Like a magnet, the crowds of people that poured into the streets ran towards the overjoyed sovereign who was wearing the Moroccan team’s jersey.
The monarch had congratulated, earlier over the phone, the Moroccan football team for qualifying to the quarterfinals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Morocco has beaten Spain with the penalty shootout (3-0) after the game tied (0-0) in the second halftime. The Kingdom is the first Arab country to reach the quarterfinals.
