Crowds were going crazy, cheering the Moroccan football team which is playing today Spain as part of the 2022 World Cup knockouts.
Fans from all walks of life gathered spontaneously in overcrowded cafés and streets. Youngsters and elderly, alike, all dressed and capped in red and green. Others are carrying and waving the Moroccan flag, chanting the national anthem in a heartening way.
All eyes are turned towards the big screens in the city of Rabat and all are pinning their hopes on the qualification of Morocco to the quarterfinals.
Morocco and Spain tied (0-0) in the first halftime of the game played in the Education City Stadium, Qatar.
Morocco moved to the round of 16 after beating Canada (2-1).
Morocco is topping the Group F with 7 points and a historic win that was unparalleled since 1986.
