Moroccan central bank Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) and its British counterpart the Bank of England (BE) held recently, in Rabat, a workshop on cybersecurity as part of their partnership agreement.
The event touched on cybersecurity strategy, cyber protection, cyber governance, and cyber resilience. The discussions also covered cybersecurity in IT systems, macro prudential regulation, and oversight of financial market infrastructure.
To deepen their collaboration on the matter, the participants have agreed to establish a virtual exchange network operating in cybersecurity-related fields.
The workshop brought together approximately 30 senior officials from around twenty African and Middle Eastern Central Banks.
