France is bracing for energy-linked problems as the country’s Energy Regulator warned, Thursday, of a temporary power outage.
This energy crisis that affects France and other European countries, especially with the advent of winter, is an immediate consequence of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The same body said the lack of energy supply would lead to power outages for “a few days” this winter. The government issued recommendations for local authorities to better manage the problem.
Head of the body Javier Piaczak said that “we have 35 gigawatts of nuclear energy available as of December 1, and the goal is to reach 40 and 41 gigawatts by January 1 and to 43 gigawatts by the end of the month, compared to a total capacity of 61.”
