President of the Italian Council of State (ICS) Franco Frattini said, on Tuesday in Rabat, that Morocco is the “most stable country in the MENA region,” praising the Kingdom’s achievements in numerous fields.
According to MAP, the Italian top official said that “Italy is deeply convinced that Morocco is the most stable country in the MENA region, with which we share the respect for the values of democracy and the rule of law.”
Frattini said that the Kingdom is a reliable partner of the EU in many sectors such as migration, security, counter-terrorism, renewable energy, and access of Europe to Africa, “due to major investment in infrastructure development over the past years and the multiple Free Trade Agreements with countries in the African continent.”
The Frattini’s speech was read out by his diplomatic advisor Marcello Apicella, during the closing ceremony of the institutional twinning between the Italian Council of State and the Secretariat General of the Government meant to support the latter in the regulatory convergence process with the European Union (EU).
