The health ministry will provide a financial contribution to help manage orphanages and centers of children in precarious situations, under the Moroccan League for Child Protection (LMPE).
The pledge was laid down in a partnership agreement signed, Thursday in Rabat, by Princess Lalla Zineb, LMPE chairperson, and health minister Khalid Ait Taleb, according to a statement by the said League.
The agreement is meant to promote medical care, rehab and social protection services for the benefit of this fragile social segment. It is in line with the 2022-2030 National Plan for Youth Health.
Under the accord, children and youngsters in such centers will have health insurance to cover hospitalization, medical tests, and emergency care. It is part of the nationwide project of social protection generalization.
