The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) caught, on Nov. 17, an ISIS member operating in Sala Al-Jadida for his alleged implication in a terror plot to undermine public order.
The suspect, aged 22, is an ex-convict in a terrorism case and was apprehended thanks to DGST intelligence services, according to a statement by BCIJ.
The search operation helped seize electronic devices, sketches for terror attacks and manuscripts with extremist content.
The suspect had recently resumed his activities and was looking for materials to manufacture explosives.
The suspect was remanded in police custody to complete the BCIJ-led probe, under the supervision of the public prosecutor in charge of terrorism cases.
