African countries must work jointly to ensure that Africa makes headway in matters related to health risk reduction and in other areas as well, Health Minister Khalid Aït Taleb said at the first African Conference on Health Risk Reduction which opened on Wednesday in Marrakesh.
The minister, who admitted that Africa is still facing some difficulties, said that no African country can overcome such problems alone. He also called for developing a health charter that would benefit all countries of the continent.
The event, scheduled Nov. 16-18, is organized notably by the health ministry in partnership with the ministry of foreign affairs. It is in line with the rapidly-developing global health system, in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This event is attended by African and European figures from the health sphere. The opening ceremony was marked by a royal message to the participants.
