US Midterm Elections: Near Victory of Republicans at Congress, Senate Undetermined

The preliminary results of the US midterm elections showed that Republicans are winning the House of Representatives, but the control of the Senate is still undetermined.
All the 432 House seats were up for election at the midterms, with 218 seats needed for control of the lower house of the US parliament. According to these results, Republicans won at least 99 seats, and Democrats 55, the New York Times reported. The results in the majority of polling stations in the country’s northeast traditionally tilted toward Democrats and in the West Coast, primarily in California, have yet to be announced.
The outcome of races for Congress and Senate will determine the future of Biden’s agenda and serve as a referendum on his administration as the nation reels from record-high inflation and concerns over the direction of the country. Republican control of the Lower House would likely trigger a round of investigations into Biden and his family, while a GOP Senate takeover would hobble Biden’s ability to make judicial appointments.
In Pennsylvania, Democratic Attorney General Josh Shapiro beat Republican Doug Mastriano to keep the governorship of a key presidential battleground state blue.
