The police officers of the Judicial Police in Tangier, through collaboration with their counterparts in Tetouan, in the light of accurate information provided by the departments of the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST) this Monday afternoon, were able to arrest a 17-year-old minor girl, on suspicion of involvement in the crime of assault and battery using bladed article resulting in death, where a 20-year-old student was killed.
A copy of the statement of the General Directorate for National Security revealed that on Saturday 5th November, the Tangier judicial police supported by crime scene technicians, had initiated the examination of the victim’s body, which had been found in the house where he lives alone in Tangier, with multiple stab marks on his upper limbs, is suspected to be caused by an attack with a bladed article.
According to the source, the thorough research and investigations conducted by the security teams enabled the arrest of the prime suspect in the commission of these criminal acts, which are currently in the process of judicial research to determine their causes and motives, as well as the arrest of a member of her family who is suspected of not reporting a crime and damaging the crime instrument and some of the proceeds of crime.
The same source confirmed that the suspect was kept under police surveillance because she was still a minor, while her relative was kept under pretrial detention to complete the probe led under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, in order to determine all conditions and circumstances surrounding the case.
