On the first day of the Arab Summit in Algiers, the Arab network showcased a commitment of Arab journalists from different nationalities to cover the Arab Summit in Algiers. All while lifting the veil on the abuses of the Algerian regime, which mobilizes all means in hopes to make this event a success at any cost and who claims unification, yet does not stop attacking its neighbor, the Kingdom of Morocco.
The Syrian journalist Qutaiba Yaseen, working for Syrian television, stigmatized the slogan advocated by the Algerian regime, aspiring to “the unification of Arab ranks, meanwhile this country has proceeded to close the borders with its neighbor Morocco and fomenting plots against it.”
Many other Syrian journalists, such as Bassam Jaara, Raed Hmade, and Omar Madamiah (opponents of the regime of Bashar Al Assad), in addition to the Iraqi Sufian Samarrai, President of the Baghdad Post, stressed that “the Algerian authorities have led dozens of Syrian and Palestinian refugees to the desert of Niger, thus removing them from the landscape of the capital that hosts the Arab Summit, while pointing the finger at the connivance between the Syrian and Algerian regimes.”
