On the occasion of the Declaration of November 1st, 1954, marking the beginning of the Algerian War of Independence, several hundred members of the Algerian diaspora, faithful to their weekly mobilization against the military regime, marched, this day, in the streets of the French capital.
This was to denounce the violent repression of the activists of the pacifist movement of the Hirak by the generals of the military junta and their protégés in the palace of El Mouradia, while demanding the release of all political detainees and prisoners of conscience as well as “the establishment of a civilian and non-military state.”
