Nezha Khoubiza, a member of the Moroccan Association for Victims’ Rights, reported that the substantive hearing at the Court of Appeal in Tangier on Thursday, regarding the case of French Jacques Bouthier and his co-defendants, accused of human trafficking, rape, indecent assault, and violence, included three victims.
The Rabat Bar Association lawyer explained in a statement to Barlaman Today that the initial investigation with the first victim took more than two hours before it was postponed in order to complete the probe.
Khoubiza noted that two victims were heard during the evening. They had previously filed a complaint against an official at Jacques Bouthier company in Tangier before the case was put off till November 1st hearing. On October 31, two victims will be heard by the judicial authorities and another two victims on November 16th.
In May, the French authorities arrested the French businessman Jacques Bouthier, for human trafficking crimes and raping a minor in France.
