Mr. Hafez Ghanem, an economist who has served as Vice President of the World Bank, in charge of Eastern and Southern Africa (2020-2022), as well as the Middle East and North Africa (2015-2018), has recently joined the Policy Center for the New South.
Mr. Ghanem joins a team of prominent economists from many nations who have held senior roles in public policy, sectoral policy, macroeconomic management, academic research, and international organizations.
