The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Ouagadougou has issued a statement on October 1st following the situation in Burkina Faso.
It states that the Embassy “is closely following the situation in Burkina Faso and the events that have taken place there since Friday.” Adding that “it reassures on the situation of the members of the Moroccan community residing in Burkina Faso, and calls on its compatriots to remain in their homes and to observe all vigilance.”

Yesterday, Morocco’s flag carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced the cancellation of its Casablanca-Ouagadougou flights on October 1 and Ouagadougou-Casablanca flights on October 2, due to the closure of air borders in Burkina Faso.The flight schedule to/from Ouagadougou for the following days might also undergo some changes, the national airline added.
RAM invites its customers to stay updated about the flight schedule by providing their contact details through the “MANAGE BOOKING” section on the website www.royalairmaroc.com, the same source said.
