Last week, Moroccans and Americans gathered in Washington, DC to support the Tangier American Legation, a vibrant cultural center of activity in Tangier’s old Medina, a museum, and a research library. Among the participants in this gathering, were the US Ambassador to Morocco Puneet Talwar, former Ambassador Dwight Bush, and Deputy Chief of Mission Zeinab Bentahila of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in the United States.
During this gathering, the participants discussed the implementation of a critical renovation project for the Tangier American Legation, the world’s oldest US diplomatic property and a symbol of 200 years Morocco’s deep, historic ties with the United States.
