The second day of the ‘Grand concerts of Rabat’ was a huge success with the presence of famous and beloved artists of the Moroccan public. They set the OLM Souissi stage on fire and made the evening unforgettable.
The concert kicked off with the Nigerian star Ayyar Starr, who enchanted the audience with her songs inspired by Sub-Saharan tunes. Dancing and singing to the rhythm of her songs, the audience was in perfect sync with the artist, exhibiting a strong sense of belonging to the African continent.
Right after the first performance, El Grande Toto kept the party going. During the spectacular show he gave at the OLM Souissi Square, his fans sang with him non-stop, their cellphones flashlights could be seen from afar, turning the night’s darkness into light.
All good things must come to an end, and what a beautiful end it was with the Congolese singer Dadju. He got on the scene, dressed in the Moroccan Jabador outfit, and entertained the audience who danced along to the African rhythms that characterize his songs. The audience was pleasantly surprised when the Congolese singer performed “Woulli lia” [come back to me], a song in Moroccan dialect, showcasing his deep attachment to Morocco.
The second night of this event was deemed a success, much like the previous one. The beauty of this concert is that it brings people of all nationalities together and corroborates Rabat’s place as the cultural capital of Africa.
